Indiana congressman Mark Souderdecided to resign his seat after an anonymous tipster revealedthe 8 term congressman’s was having an affair withhis aide, Tracy Jackson. Souder had been denying the affair and has, throughout his career, been a supporter of “traditional family values.”

1) Steve Phillips and Brooke Hundley

ESPN baseball analyst Steve Phillips acknowledged having an affair with Brooke Hundley, a 22-year-old assistant at the cable network. Brooke sent a graphic letter to Phillips’ wife, Marni, describing their sordid relationship.

2) David Letterman and Stephanie Birkitt

In front of a nationwide “Late Show” audience, David Letterman admitted he had engaged in sexual relationships with female employees on his show. Later it was revealed that one of those women was long-time production assistant Stephanie Birkitt. The confession was triggered by an alleged extortion plot concocted by Birkitt’s former boyfriend, CBS News employee Robert “Joe” Halderman.

3) Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky

When 22-year-old Monica Lewinsky was serving her country as a White House intern, she was also serving President Bill Clinton some hardcore canoodling. Ultimately, Clinton had to admit to the country and to his wife Hillary that he indeed did “have sexual relations with that woman.”

4) Jim Bakker and Jessica Hahn

In 1980, Jessica Hahn was a 21-year-old secretary at the Christian television program “The PTL Club.” She says in December of that year, she was drugged and raped by her boss, married televangelist Jim Bakker (a claim he denies, saying he was set up).

She later posed for Playboy.

5) Mark Foley and Unnamed Congressional Page

The Mark Foley scandal, which broke in late September 2006, involved sexually explicit e-mails and instant messages sent by an underage Congressional page. Following the revelation, several former pages came forward alleging inappropriate contact with Foley, some dating back at least 10 years.
