Are You Ready for Black Friday?

Lace up your running shoes and get ready to sprint to the stores for some of the fabulous Black Friday deals this year!
Recession Mama Michele Ashamalla: Target, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, and Macy's ads for Black Friday were leaked last week. The deals and sometimes scans of the entire ads can be found on several sites dedicated solely to Black Friday. Check out: Black Friday 2009, Black Friday Info, and Bfads.net. Costco's Black Friday coupons are being handed out in a store flyer. If you're planning on waiting outside the store in the wee hours, Wal-Mart is considerately opening their store on Thanksgiving all night long! You can't get the Black Friday deals before 5 AM, but you can be poised to pounce before then.
This year, check out fantastic deals on electronics. Now is the time to buy a Blu-ray player -- they're as low as $78. There are also some great deals on digital cameras -- more megapixels than ever, at lower prices. New this season is the Nintendo DSi, but don't look for rock-bottom prices there. Nintendo Wii games and hardware are both coming way down this holiday season.
Classic games are a steal -- Candy Land and Chutes and Ladders for $5 a piece at Target. I think my parents paid more for them thirty years ago! Also at Target, a fantastic selection of seasons of television shows -- Sex and the City, Friends, Gossip Girl, and my personal fave, Flight of the Conchords -- for $8.99 each. I was at Borders Books and Music yesterday and I didn't see anything particularly for Black Friday, but noticed that bargain books were buy three and get the lowest price one free, with a fantastic selection of books and kits available. Just remember, the holiday season is about peace and love, so try not to elbow that sweet grandma on your way to the deals!

Thank you, Bunker! Your comment improved my mood!
Thank you but I am not getting up at 4 am to go shopping with 300,000 other people. OUr walmarts are open 24 hours anyway but people were actually sleeping there to get the deals. The only thing I wanted were the character pajamas for my kids for $3.00, but I’d rather pay and extra $5 and get them next week when people have gone back to work and school. I like to relax the day after Thanksgiving.
