We asked our readers to share their fave Thanksgiving dishes with us in exchange for the chance to win a copy of Paula's latest cookbook, and y'all had some mouth-watering sides you couldn't live without:

My favorite recipe is my grandfather's snowball cookies. He made them every year, and now I make them for my dad. -- Jessica

My favorite Thanksgiving recipe is sweet potato casserole. I love it! I'm not sure why we never make it outside of Thanksgiving (probably all the butter, sugar, and marshmallows). -- Cait

I actually prefer my mom's seafood gumbo to any traditional Thanksgiving recipes, but a close second would be my recently deceased sister's cornbread dressing ... I unfortunately do not have the recipe, as she never wrote anything down. This will be my first holiday without her. -- Dede

I can't pick just one favorite. Are you kidding? I LOVE my mom's giblet gravy, my mother-in-law's cranberry salad, and my own sweet potato casserole. I can't have Thanksgiving without any of them. :0) -- Michelle M

Every holiday I make ether pumpkin cookies or pumpkin bread. It’s like having my Grandmother there even though she’s been gone for years. My family swarms me at the door, especially my cousin waiting with her hand out for her very own special batch of goodies. It’s nice to hear every person who tastes them say “this reminds me of Grandma Thelma.” Great to know I can keep her in our hearts with one of her recipes.

My favorite Thanksgiving recipe that I can’t live without is my mom’s mashed potatoes. She makes them with extra lumps and lots of flavor so they taste so good.

My favorite recipes for Thanksgiving are my grandmothers mashed potatoes and my aunts pie called Carlie Prides Sweet Potato Pie. No one can ever make them the way they do. Even if you have the recipe, they just don’t tast the same if someone else makes them if you know what I mean.
