I finally found a website that will reduce my trips to Target, CVS, and the grocery store.
Recession Mama Michele Ashamalla: The site is Alice.com. Prices are pretty good and SHIPPING IS FREE. Period. No minimum, no coupon or code necessary. I have some friends that do all their grocery shopping online, but that's not for me. They say the $10 delivery fee is well worth it, and the occasional free shipping deal comes around. I'm out and about during the day, so stopping by the grocery store occasionally is no big deal. Besides, I'm kind of picky about my meats and produce. But alice.com is different. I can go online and order the couple of things I forgot, or couldn't find. The site searches for coupons for you and applies the credit. Since I don't need to visually inspect my detergent or Kleenex, I think it's going to work out well. The site serves as a direct link between the manufacturer and the consumer, so there's no big-box store in between. Also, it pulls in revenue from advertising. That's how they can keep prices reasonable and shipping free, I guess.
I haven't ordered from it yet, but some reviewers say their orders arrived the next day -- fantastic! And the cherry on top is a $10 credit after your first $50 order through the link on this page: Shopatalice.com.
