KOCO.com: Tommy Wolf, 9, Found Dead In Nichols Hills Home.
A metro doctor has been arrested on suspicion of killing his 9-year-old son, police said.
Officers were called to a home on Elmhurst Avenue at 3:53 a.m. Monday and found Tommy Wolf, 9, dead at the scene. Dr. Stephen Wolf was arrested and has been booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
Nichols Hills Police Chief Richard Mask said it appears there had been an altercation at the home. Wolf's wife, Mary, had what police called defensive wounds to her hands and mouth. She was taken to Integris Baptist Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Mask said officers recovered a weapon from the residence, a knife.
Wolf has practiced medicine in the Oklahoma City area for the past 17 years, according to a pair of medical-record Web sites. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine in 1988.
The victim was a third-grade student at Christ the King Catholic School, located at 1905 Elmhurst Ave. School officials told Eyewitness News 5 that teachers and classmates were aware of the boy's death.
In a Monday news conference, Mask said the initial 911 call came from a neighbor's house. Mary Wolf ran to that house to get help, police said. She ran back to her house and called 911 twice more.
