It’s sad, but true. Well, not all of it. But I am ashamed to admit that I got in an accident last spring because I was reaching for a toy my 3yo son had dropped in the back seat. SHAME ON ME! I was coming up on a light and my foot was already on the break. I misjudged my distance until I needed to stop and I rear-ended the girl in front of me. There was car damage, but fortunately no one was hurt.

Parents have so many distractions while in the car. We need to remind ourselves that our main job while driving is to ensure our kid gets from point A to point B safely. That means Happy Meal toys stay on the ground. I learned the hard way.
