PiscesTwo Trick-or-Treaters Struck in Deadly Accident
The children were crossing the street with other kids and adults in Halloween costumes when they were hit by the vehicle.
A 9-year-old girl died at the scene. A 3-year-old boy was taken to UMDNJ.
The driver, a 44-year-old man, stayed at the scene. He was being treated at a local hospital for trauma.
No names were immediately released.

Geez! I don’t want to read this stuff. :( Unfortunately, it needs to be said as a wake up call for driver’s when little kids are out.
This is why my husband chased down a car yelling at the driver who sped through our street while all our neighborhood kids were out Trick or Treating! The speed limit is 10 mph. This guy was going at least 20 or more.
ok.. this is a holiday that PREDATES cars. It’s been happening on the SAME DATE for over 100 years (or around 100 years). Why in don’t people realize that they shouldn’t drive over 5 miles per hour on that night? It’s a given that kids are going to be out.. It’s also a given that some of these kids may be dressed all in black. Open your eyes people!! this tragedy could have been avoided if some common sense precautions were in place.
How sad. I’ll be praying for the family.
