Fans Line Up Early For Palin Event

KOCO: Hundreds of people lined up on Wednesday for a chance to see Sarah Palin during Thursday's scheduled book signing.
Fans, supporters and people curious to see the former Alaska governor lined the sidewalk outside Norman's Hastings Bookstore in Oklahoma.
"I am looking forward to meeting her and actually be able to tell her I admire her and stuff," said Chris Gregg, who took a place at the front of the line at 3:30 p.m.
"I had to drive by and see if someone was here yet," he said. "I decided at 5 p.m., people get off work, so I showed up 10 minutes later and jumped in line."
Palin plans to visit the store to sign copies of her book "Going Rogue" at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
People in line are hoping to get a wristband that will allow them first access to a signed copy of the book and perhaps a picture of Palin. Some said they just want to see her up close.
"Just seeing the sparkle in her eye and hear her talk," said Judy Wesselhoft.
Many in the crowd said they didn't mind waiting on a night when temperatures were expected to dip into the 20s because they planned to give Palin a warm welcome on Thursday.
