Well, at least they aren’t chasing the kid around the store.
I’m all for letting the kid sleep while shopping, but that seems a bit dangerous. What if that box moves and falls?!
I also all for getting a kid to sleep so you can shop in peace but that is not at all safe. All it would take is a bump and those boxes could shift and fall on the kid.
That is great, cudos to that mother!!
well, it’s better than leaving him alone in the car.
Common Sense: The box is too big to fall into the cart. It’s bigger than it’s width, it’ll get stuck before it hits the kid. A 3 year old would know that…
Scarry, that could fall at any minute. I would either put them lying down in the seat part or hold him.
Bad!
Anyone complaining has never had a fussy and hellacious 3 yr old in Wal-Mart. I have 3 boys. Anything to keep them quiet and within my sight is fair game.
Sleeping in the cart fine, balancing a box on top of said cart, not so much….especially in a crowded walmart during the holiday season when folks forget their manners and push and shove….
Ladies you dont seem that bright and that makes me worry about YOUR children. the box cannot fall in the cart due to its size and would never reach the child.
volume, width, height…lets use basic tools of math and science to navigate life before you start judging others
That it terrible. It isn’t safe at all. Bring a car seat or something!
At least it is ventilated.
jesus i am startled by some people’s lack of concern. if someone were to hit the bottom left corner of the box, it would shift. the top left and bottom right corners would be stuck but the bottom left would hit the kid.
People are crazy. Here’s a thought, stay home and let your child nap in their bed and THEN go shopping.
I’m going to have to agree - if one of those boxes shift, it could fall on baby. Maybe it is a remote possibility, but it would be enough for me to avoid the situation. I think the parent here is just trying to make the best of a tricky situation - I would say this was a stupid move, but I wouldn’t judge them as a parent overall based upon this picture alone.
kinda dumb…i’d just get second cart.
And if the boxes fall? Yikes.
I was in Walmart the other night, and a mother and grandmother had a 12-month-old infant that they laid in the cart on blankets when he fell asleep. That’s fine - but he didn’t have stuff piled on top of him!!!
to those who are saying the boxes are too big to fall in.. all someone has to do is knock it from the side and one half of the box falls in and crushes the kid. convenient, yes.. safe, no.

that makes me cringe. what if someone hits that box and it falls on the baby?
