its tummy. Eh-Oh!
Produced by Hannspree, the arctic bear TV is purportedly designed to raise environmental awareness. The only thing it does for me is raise awareness of the odiousness of market research. I imagine the initial conversation at Hannspree went like this:
R&D Flunky: Boss, our data says kids love television, toys, and animals. Maybe we should combine the three?
C.E.O.: Let's use a polar bear so we can say we're concerned about global warming!
R&D Flunky: Done.
Here's another reason why blurring the line between toy and television is a ridic idea: Buy this boob tube -- list price almost 300 bucks -- and get ready to say this to your kid: "No honey, you can't take the television into bed with you!"
