I am beyond sick and tired of comments like this. The rest of her comment was “we should support people of color particularly”. Can you imagine any “white” person getting up at a public forum and saying “we are white people we should support white people particularly”? I am so tired of white Americans being called racist when there is a very large (just look at that audience) population of Black Americans who keep shoving their ethnicity in our faces. How can America get beyond color if the black community can’t/won’t. Queen Latifah should have learned a lesson in real humanity from the Israel’s. They went running to Haiti, way before our own country, with doctors, medicine and equipment. They didn’t look at color, they didn’t look at religion, they violated their Sabbath for non-Israeli’s, non-Jews BECAUSE THEY VALUE HUMAN LIFE. Not any particular color, not any particular religion—just life. Queen Latifah and her friends would do the black community a tremendous service if she would look beyond her color.
