Our favorite explorer isn't on her way to grandma's house -- she traveling around to count your kids!
Our kids aren't being counted! We all want the resources our schools, communities and kids deserve. Unfortunately, these resources aren't getting to the communities that need it the most. Why is this happening? Since 1790 when the census began, kids have been under-counted. Stand up and have your kids counted in the 2010 Census.
The Census Bureau has teamed up with children's cartoon character Dora the Explorer to make sure every baby, toddler, grade-schooler, tween and teen is counted. Yes, even babies count. Make sure to fill out and mail back the forms that will arrive in mid-March.
