Last month, we asked our moms to tell us why they needed to get back in shape by taking the YRG Fitness Challenge with legendary pro wrestler Diamond Dallas Page. We pored over hundreds of entries to find our mom.
Now, meet Melinda of Tarzana, Ca.
Here's what she told us: "I'm what I call 'thin fat,' meaning I don't have a lean body. I carry too much fat in my stomach, hips and thighs. I'd like to establish a workout routine which would tone up or eliminate my trouble areas and help me maintain a fit, firm, healthy body. A little bit about me: I'm the 'bonus' mom (prefer that term over stepmother) of two boys; I run a small construction company; I volunteer with Operation Gratitude and I'm the go-to person with my family/extended family and friends. Every day I walk at least three miles with my Lab (more on the weekends)."
