Introducing the First Special Needs Theme Park

What started as a big dream is turning into reality very soon.
Morgan's Wonderland is a 25-acre park that includes a lake for catch-and-release fishing, wheelchair-accessible train rides, a music garden and water cannons! Reservations are required for entrance into the park, but there is no admission for friends with special needs.

The idea for the park began when philanthropist Gordon Hartman was on vacation with his daughter, Morgan, who has special needs. She had serious difficulties interacting with other groups of kids at a hotel pool. At that moment, Hartman realized that kids with special needs also needed a place where they could feel comfortable and have fun.
In 2007, the nonprofit group Sports Outdoor and Recreation (SOAR) was created to raise funds for Hartman's dream amusement park. With the help of some dedicated supporters (including the City of San Antonio and the State of Texas), this dream amusement park will be reality.
You can be part of this groundbreaking team and help to support Morgan's Wonderland by donating or volunteering. If you would like additional information on donating and volunteering, please go to MorgansWonderland.com. You can also follow Morgan's Wonderland on Twitter or Facebook.
