Whose Child Will Be Next?

One mom wonders when they will fix the justice system so sex offenders are not allowed to strike again and again.

Chelsea King

momlogic's Julie: When I heard about the Chelsea King murder, my heart broke into a million pieces for her family. How was this sex offender allowed on the streets? And, until they fix the system, whose child will be next?

It was a life senselessly cut short ... snuffed out by a vile sex predator who had struck before, and who had only served FIVE YEARS for raping a 12-year-old girl, even though he could have gotten twenty.

Was he rehabilitated in jail? Closely monitored after he got out? No and no, even though a psychiatrist said he showed no remorse and would continue to be a threat to young girls in the community.

Instead, he was let out of jail EARLY ... set free to not only rape another young girl but MURDER her, too. How does this keep happening?!

I am reminded of Amber Dubois, a girl who went missing in the same community and has never been found. I am also reminded of Somer Thompson, whose killer is still on the loose.

This makes me never want to let my kids out of my sight again. Who knows what predators are out there, just waiting to pounce on their next victim?

WHEN will the system be fixed? When will these sex offenders stop being allowed to roam our streets?

When we will start giving stiffer sentences for sex crimes against children? When will sex offenders start being monitored at all times? When will molesters in our country undergo chemical castration, as they do in Poland? When will the death penalty be given to convicted pedophiles so they can't strike again?

WHEN?
