Yummy Art: The Very Best Peeps Dioramas

Art for Peep's sake.

When you think of the Washington Post, sugary Easter treats don't usually come to mind. But in the paper's fourth annual Peeps Diorama Contest, which garnered 1,100 entries, readers were invited to create a mini art installation using the ubiquitous sugary chicks and bunnies as their main medium. This year's winner was inspired by the blockbuster Pixar flick "Up." There were 37 runners-up.

Here are our momlogic faves:

"Eep," submitted by Michael Chirlin and Veronica Ettle (left), and "The Mad Hatter's Peep Party," submitted by Amy Billingham:

I absolutely LOVE the UP house. The annual Peeps contest brings out such creativity. This year is no exception. The Goodnight Moon diorama is adorable as well. I had to share it with my own “Peeps” on Twitter - great article!
