30 Habits That Will Change Your Life (Mother-ized)

Today I read, with great interest, Oscar Del Ben's post, "30 Habits That Will Change Your Life."

Shari Storm: I nodded my head at each and every one of them. Then I slammed my laptop shut in frustration: Clearly, it was written by a man with no kids.
NO WAY can a mother even attempt to achieve any of those things. I mean, when would I feed the kids, take them to their dance lessons or, oh, I don't know ... talk with them?
But the article sat on my mind and sat on my mind.
Maybe I could, if I just ....
So I'm taking his 30 habits and making them mom-friendly.

Hi there
I went through your “motherized” list and was really impressed. I am a dad, and I see that Oscar Del Ben came up with that list too. I wish he (and you) could add one more item. That is, take time to teach your children about money VERY early on. It is a great habit to have too, since, later on in life, that habit will pay you back in immeasurable ways.
I am saying that because I am biased. I wrote children’s books on finance and I think children can learn about money very early on. So the sooner they start learning, the better your habit will pay off.

nice post. thanks.
That is one GREAT LIST. I love it that this list is “motherized” and takes into account the real lives we live — not the wanna be perfect life that is totally unatainable.
Kari at MamaBloo pointed me your way. What a great list. I loved that it was concise and manageable. I’m adding to my morning coffee some oatmeal and fruit! Thanks Shari for the ideas.
