USA Today: If 40-year-old Brett Favre returns for a 20th NFL season, it will be perfectly legitimate for teammates to call him "Grandpa" around the locker room.

Favre confirmed to ESPN that his daughter, Brittany, has given birth to a son. The Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder had reported late last month that Brittany, 21, was expecting.

It's unknown how many grandfathers have been on active NFL rosters before.

Favre hasn't given the Vikings a timetable for when he'll make a decision. He dropped by the spring practice of the Southern Miss. football team on Monday, and coach Larry Fedora said Favre gave no hints on whether he'd be playing again.
