PiscesCelebs Rally Around 'Sex and the City 2' Costumer's Sick Baby
Nine-month-old Brooklyn baby "Minty Python" has been battling brain tumors since she was just 6 weeks old. And celeb parents like Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kristin Davis, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Schwartzman, Naomi Watts, Ted Danson, Tina Fey and Rachel Weisz are rallying to help offset the extensive cost of her cancer treatment.
"She was diagnosed with anaplastic ependymoma when she was 6 weeks old back in August of 2009," says Mei-Lai Hippisley-Coxe, Minty's mother, in a NY1 post.
Already, little Minty has proven herself to be the trooper of all troopers: She has undergone four surgeries in an 11-day stretch and has endured six rounds of high-dose chemotherapy.
Says Mei-Lai, "The doses are very high and quite toxic in adults, but they seem to think that children and babies can handle higher doses of chemo. So the hope was that would work for Minty, but we did five or six rounds and then an MRI showed several tumors had grown."
Mei-Lai has had to pause her showbiz wardrobe career (among her gigs, "Sex and the City 2") to care for her daughter. Now in the midst of a new experimental protocol to shrink Minty's tumors, she's facing the demise of her union insurance at the end of the year.
To help offset the impending financial implications, Mei-Lai's actor buds are stepping up to help Minty (and two organizations that help kids in need) by participating in a star-studded benefit on May 1st. Among the celebs on tap? Naomi Watts, Ted Danson, Tina Fey and Rachel Weisz.

Hello, - discovered your current internet page by accident when looking round the internet this morning, and delighted that i did! I like the design and style and tones, but I have to mention that I’m having difficulties when it loads. I’m using SeaMonkey 2 internet browser for mac, and the side panel fails to align well. i am sure I’ve used an equivalent design on a customer’s web site, but the menu seems O.k on mine. I have an idea the fault is at my end and I’m guessing it is time to update!
