Ktla: Porn star Jenna Jameson is denying claims by her boyfriend, mixed martial arts fighter Tito Ortiz, that she is addicted to Oxycontin. Ortiz has declared his innocence after being arrested on suspicion of beating up Jameson, his girlfriend of four years.
Jameson calls the drug addiction allegations "completely false," telling TMZ that Ortiz is making the claim because he's "very, very desperate."
Jameson also told the celebrity website that the confrontation with Ortiz occurred after she "said something very hurtful to his ego." She alleges Ortiz then grabbed her and, "threw me into the bathtub and tore two ligaments in my shoulder."
Ortiz held a press conference Monday night following his arrest.
Matthews said Jameson "had a relapse" Monday morning and Tito confronted her about some drugs he found.
Jameson denied it and "had some emotional breakdown over it," he said.
"As Tito was leaving, unfortunately she contacted the police department through another individual," Matthews said.
"I want to be quite clear, he continued, "Tito Ortiz never laid a hand on Jenna."
Matthews said Jameson's family has been very supportive, and that her father Larry Massoli even brought Tito clothes after his arrest.
A teary Ortiz made a brief statement, thanking his fans and family for their support, but answered no questions.
"My parents have gone through an addiction ... I'm not gonna let that happen to my family," Ortiz said. "I hold everything dear to my heart that Jenna will be okay."
Ortiz, 35, was arrested Monday morning at the Huntington Harbour home the couple shares with their 13-month-old twin boys.
Jameson's father made the 911 call after the two began arguing. "There was no drinking, no drugs. It was just a family spat," Massili told KTLA.
He also said the couple's children did not witness the incident.
Police responded to the home in the 16700 block of Baruna Lane just before 10:00 a.m. Monday after a receiving a 911 call regarding a "domestic disturbance," according to Lt. Mike Reynolds of the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Ortiz, whose birth name is Jacob Christopher Ortiz, was handcuffed and arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, Reynolds said.
Jameson, 36, had "visible injuries" when officers spoke to her about what happened, Reynolds said. She was later spotted at a pharmacy with a bandage wrapped around her elbow. Matthews claims she was playing the victim.
Ortiz, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound former light heavyweight champ of Ultimate Fighting, was booked at the Huntington Beach Jail on suspicion of felony domestic violence.
He was released on $25,000 bail.
"He's been extremely cooperative with us, and so has the victim, " Reynolds said.
Ortiz was the Ultimate Fighting Championship's light heavyweight champion from 2000 to 2003.
According to court records this isn't Ortiz' first brush with the law.
The UFC star was sentenced to jail in 1998 after pleading guilty to charges of "battery with serious bodily injury."
Ortiz was sentenced to three years probation, 29 days in jail and 232 hours of community service.
