The actress tells Ellen DeGeneres that she's A-OK with it, too!

In an appearance on Tuesday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show," actress, diet pitchwoman and reality star Kirstie Alley tells Ellen that her teenage son, True, recently got engaged.

Alley says that True and his girlfriend have been dating for roughly a year, and she's perfectly fine with his plans.

She tells Ellen, "I feel good, because they're really in love. True's very ... he's got a level head. He's a good guy. He's very monogamous, and he's very sweet with her. You know, I was married when I was just 19 years old, and that didn't work. Then I was married when I was 30 years old, and that's when everyone said, 'You should get married' -- and that didn't work. So I don't think I'm an expert on the subject. So I think if somebody's in love and wants to be married, then let them be in love and get married."

Watch "Ellen" on Tuesday for the complete interview.

While I do agree that marriage is not about age, why rush into things? they could live together first and that would still be a big step in the relationship.

Because living together is the answer— don’t half of those marriages end in divorce where they live together first?

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I was engaged at 16. I left the jerk and fell in love with my fiancĂ©. We live together and will be getting married next year so we have some time to save up. We’re 19 and 20 and we couldn’t be happier.
