The littlest Duggar is finally going home.
After nearly four months in the NICU, teeny Josie Duggar is leaving the hospital.
The 19th child of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, stars of TLC's "19 Kids and Counting," was born at just 25 weeks' gestation back in December. She weighed only 1 lb. 6 oz and has endured much in her short life. "We're grateful for the prayers of thousands," Jim Bob told People magazine. "We are so happy," says Michelle. "We are so excited, we are running on adrenaline. I have been getting into the routine of every three hours feeding, diapering and taking her temperature. We are so encouraged that she is doing so well."
Today, Josie weighs in at 4 lbs. 9 oz., can breathe without oxygen and eats regularly, and doctors feel she is stable enough to leave the hospital. Josie's strength has been a blessing, says the family. "She has a strong personality," Michelle says. "She is a spunky little thing and will keep us all going."
The ordeal has been a difficult one for Michelle and Jim Bob, but the emotional roller coaster of the last few months has, says Michelle, finally "leveled out" -- and now they get to take their baby home to live with the rest of their brood.
