The couple had reportedly gone to Mexico in hopes of reconciling their marriage.

"Survivor" producer Bruce Beresford-Redman reported his wife, Monica, 42, missing two days ago in Cancun, where the couple and their two kids were vacationing. Beresford-Redman said his wife had gone shopping, and that she hadn't been seen since.

Now her body has been found in a gutter near the swanky Moon Palace Resort (where they were staying), and Mexico officials say her husband is a suspect. A witness at the hotel saw the couple arguing on Sunday.

Media reports in Mexico said that Monica Beresford-Redman had been strangled.

Bruce had spoken to CBS 2/KCAL 9's Serene Branson by phone on Wednesday. "I'm expecting other calls coming in, and I'm very hopeful someone will find my wife very soon," Bruce told the reporter. "She still hasn't been located, and we're looking."

Monica was set to return today, which would have been her birthday.
