Texas Woman Forgets To Drop Baby Off; Infant Dies In Hot Car

KWTX: A 7-month-old girl died Thursday after a friend of her mother's, who was to have dropped the infant off at daycare, left her for as long as four hours in a car that was parked in the sun in the driveway of a home in southwest Dallas.

Dallas Police Lt. Andy Harvey said the woman told investigators she took the infant's mother to work Thursday morning and then was supposed to drop the baby girl off at daycare.
She made several other stops, however, and forgot to deliver the infant.
After she returned home, she rolled up the car's windows and left the infant inside by mistake.
A neighbor discovered the unconscious baby in the car at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday and called 911.
The child was taken to Methodist Charlton Medical Center, where she was declared dead.
No charges have been filed.
The infant's name wasn't immediately released.
