Tiger Woods has reason to be upset: now his kindergarten teacher is accusing him of lying about a racial attack he said happened to him when he was five years old.
Retired teacher Maureen Decker emerged yesterday from Woods' sordid past to say that a story he's told about being brutalized by racist kids on his first day of kindergarten was pure bunk.
"I am asking Tiger for a private and public apology to put my mind at ease and set the record straight," said Decker, a smiling 69-year-old.
"A group of sixth graders tied me to a tree, spray-painted the word 'n----' on me, and threw rocks at me," he said. "That was my first day of school. And the teacher really didn't do much of anything."
Decker said that account is "false" and thinks Woods' late dad, Earl, cooked it up for "more publicity."
She said she had no intention of suing Woods, but is speaking out now because the story has been recycled by Vanity Fair and tabloid TV shows covering Woods' sex scandal.
Asked what she thought about all the women coming forward now with claims they had affairs with the married golfer, Decker said, "What goes around, comes around."
"I feel sorry for ... some of those girls," she said.
Asked what she wants from Tiger, Decker said she wants him to be "the decent honest person that his mom and his teachers always expected him to be."
Decker was trotted before the cameras by celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred, who also represents James, the 32-year-old star of skin flicks like "Big Breasted Nurses" who claims she was Tiger's mistress for three years.
Uchitel would not confirm the story and there has been no comment from Team Tiger.
