Angry Mom: This morning, The Sun introduced the world to Ardi Rizal -- a 2-year-old who smokes 40 cigarettes a day.
Apparently his dad, Mohammed, first gave him a cigarette at 18 months. Now Ardi weighs more than FIFTY pounds and is hooked on nicotine. WTH?
Ardi's mom, Diana, says, "He's totally addicted. If he doesn't get cigarettes, he gets angry and screams and batters his head against the wall. He tells me he feels dizzy and sick."
NEWSFLASH, Diana: STOP GIVING YOUR KID CIGARETTES and maybe he won't be dizzy or sick anymore (after he detoxes, of course). How are these people even allowed to HAVE children?! Somebody take this kid away from these crazy people ... please!
Mohammed, 30, sounds like an even bigger idiot. He says, "He looks pretty healthy to me. I don't see the problem."
Why don't you get him a lung X-ray, and then we'll talk!
It makes me sick that these people are allowed to retain custody of this child after giving him cigarettes and endangering his health like this. Parents are supposed to PROTECT their kids, not harm them. This is child abuse, plain and simple -- and it turns my stomach!
What would YOU like to say to these parents? Let 'em have it!

If teaching a child to smoke is not grounds for a criminal charge - nothing is. Clearly these parents are guilty of neglect, if not child abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. Where are the police and child services?
Is there no child protection over there? I know there is poverty, but come on, who is looking after the rights of children. These parents don’t even deserve to own a DOG!
It’s really sad that the parents don’t see what’s wrong with what they are doing. I think there is a bigger picture than just the parents. It comes down to their society, and what people in this society are being shown or NOT shown what is right and wrong, how to parent and what not to do. It is horrible, and it breaks my heart, but I think the picture is bigger than just the parents being the problem, it’s easy to point fingers at them, and put the blame on them, because yes initially they are responsible for the upbringing of this child, but the root of the problem, is what do they know? If the father sees his child as being healthy, do they really know any better?
HOLY COW! I can’t even believe what I just read. Who on Earth would think that this is okay? There is no way that child services could justify turning the other cheek when there is a 50 pound 2 year old having nic-fits if his superdad doesn’t supply him with smokes. I can’t even imagine how an adult could develop a 2-pack-a-day smoking habit, much less a toddler. Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
Wow. He’s obese AND smoking. His parents aren’t giving him much of a chance in life are they?! If he lives past 5, I hope he gets the help he needs! People should need a licence to have children because obviously some are not at all capable! There’s so many odds stacked up against him now, how can they truly love, nuture and care for their child if they are doing this to him? He needs to quit the smokes and go for a run.

Can you say “NON OPTIONAL STERILIZATION”? Seriously… what will he get for his 3rd birthday, a crack pipe? That will make him lose the weight for sure. This is so terribly sad. He doesn’t stand a chance if he stays with these non-parents.
Unlike the United States, many countries not only do NOT have any child protective services agencies, some countries (such as China) still practice legal genocide (especially if it is a female child). Furthermore, women have no legal say in how their child is reared.

Its a different place over there. You would see 100 things in a day over there that would destroy you pretty little sheltered mind.
‘lung x-rays.’ I didn’t know that was a bone, lol. But yea, this is a terrible act, unfortunately the laws are different in countries like this.
I find it very disturbing that the people commenting on this article are actually upset/shocked about this. It just shows how ignorant our society is. What’s the big deal that his parents give him cigarettes to be addicted to for the rest of his life? Sure it’s not good for him, or any child, but if it isn’t cigarettes, it will be something else. Why doesn’t the author of this article post how parents in America over feed their toddlers at home so much McDonalds that they become physically addicted to it JUST LIKE cigarettes can do. Or how about how TV obbsessed the majority of the population is, and how many parents allow their children at hom to watch extreamly violent movies and play violent video games, or spend hours doing nothing on Facebook. Because people are not accustomed to another culture, people come out with stories like this and everyone comments on how “disgusting” it is. But really? What is the difference? Take your filthy, little fingers and then go point them at yourselves for once. Stop scrutinizing others actions :)

Who’s lighting the cigarettes. Don’t tell me they let that toddler light the match. He probabaly doesn’t know the ABC’s but can smoke. Is he even potty trained?
It’s hard to believe in news like that, but if the world says so..i wonder whether resume services could help me in situation like that
you need god in your life you do not know what you are doing with this baby. look you are making a monster out of your baby. i blame the dad more than the mom but i blame ya both for letting him do what ever he want. if you do not stop this now then it would be tooo late to stop him from this bad habit.
