Salma Hayek was planning to go into space on the Virgin Galactic expedition, but canceled her reservation after she had daughter Valentina.
She tells InStyle magazine, "I reserved my place with the Virgin [Galactic] expedition. And then I got pregnant. And now I'm a mother. So, I'm not going to go."
She added, "I love scuba diving and used to dive where the sharks were, and now? No more sharks. Everything becomes about the baby. You are in second position, or third."
We can totally relate to Salma's line of thinking. After having kids, many of us here at momlogic now avoid extreme travel, and definitely take fewer risks than we used to. We just can't bear the thought of something happening to us and leaving our children motherless.
Do YOU take fewer risks now that you're a mother?
