Jesse James opens up to "Nightline" about adopting baby Louis. "My only prerequisite for adopting a baby: I want the baby that needs us the most," he recalls. He says that baby Louis came to live with them on New Year's Day.

Jesse says that Sandra is a natural mother. "To see her in the role as mother is, like, one of the most amazing things I've ever seen," he says. "She is like a fish to water .... As soon as she put that baby into her hands, it was automatic and amazing."

He admits that seeing her as a single mom on the People cover with Louis was hard for him. "It made me sad, but I realize why things have to be done in a certain way," he says.

Jesse says he hopes that, despite their differences, he and Sandra can continue to co-parent the kids.
