Did Gwen Stefani Spend 15 Grand on Kingston's Bday Bash?

Us Magazine is reporting that supermom Gwen Stefani (LOVE her!) spent $15,000 on Kingston's 4th birthday party.

The party had 100 guests, and the menu featured burgers, hot dogs, tacos, quesadillas, french fries and chicken fingers. A cotton candy machine and a lemonade stand were also provided.

Entertainment included a bouncy castle, three birds, a face painter, a balloon artist and roaming superhero characters.

Worth it? (Keep in mind that $15,000 to Gwen Stefani is probably like $100 to most of the rest of us ... and we wouldn't blink an eye at spending that -- and then some -- on a birthday party.)

Would you plunk down a fortune for your kid's birthday bash? Momlogic featured this over-the-top birthday party (complete with elephant rides!), and our readers were definitely divided.

On the other side of the spectrum, you have this mom who told momlogic she spent just ten bucks on her kid's party. She got criticized for not spending ENOUGH.

What do you think of pricey and extravagant parties for toddlers ... OK, or no way?

How about if she spends $15,000 on a kid’s charity, too? And if she lets her kids know she’s doing that when they’re older. As for the party, the money spent isn’t the only issue. If you have too many amazing things at a preschooler’s party, they’re going to find life more boring in the long run.

Who cares how much she spent on her sons’ birthday party. And really, why does she has to give the same amount to charity? The last I hear, charity is given because you WANT to not because it is expected of you.

Yeah, who cares…she can do what she wants with her money. It’s the values and morals she teaches her child that are important. I have seen plenty of people with no money that are complete ***holes and plenty of fabulous rich ones!

I don’t have that kind of money so I don’t, but if I did I would. They’er birthdays are only once a year, it’s what you do inbetween that really counts.

Who does she think she is? Tori Spelling?

I think for a toddlers birthday you should keep it pretty simple.. they probably wont remember much of it and they will have tons of fun no matter what.. and the older they get the more they will expect! When the kid is sixteen he’s gonna want cars and rap stars at his party.. I’m all about giving the best to your kids but dont spoil them!

Celebrities can afford these type of bashes because they have the money. The average person cannot. There is the exception that will put it on their CC and whine about the debt later.

I was just chatting with my friend about this today at Outback steak house. Don’t know how in the world we landed on the topic actually , they brought it up. I do recall having a amazing fruit salad with sunflower seeds on it. I digress…
