Guest blogger Chloe: Come on, people ... quit analyzing Miley Cyrus' every move and give her a break!
First, Perez Hilton tweeted a "crotch shot" of Ms. Cyrus last week. Now the Reuters news service has offered up a picture of Miley Cyrus that reportedly reveals her private parts. Can we leave this girl alone?
Miley gets criticized for a video that's "too sexy." At a music festival, she is slammed for wearing a black leotard that's deemed too revealing. (Hello, she's performing in it -- not walking down the street or buying a Slurpee. Haven't you ever heard of theatrical costumes before? The name "Madonna" ring a bell?)
Miley Cyrus is a 17-year-old girl who is coming into her own. Yes, she was a Disney star, but she's breaking out of that shell now and trying to prove herself as a more mainstream artist.
She doesn't want to fall into the Lizzie McGuire trap ... and who can blame her? When's the last time you heard a Hilary Duff song on the radio?
Miley Cyrus is just trying to make her name ... and all she gets is jeers from the mommy bloggers, who say she's "too sexy," "too slutty" and "too provocative." Translation: She's no longer Hannah Montana, and they don't like it.
Well, wakeup call: HANNAH MONTANA IS A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. Miley Cyrus is a real girl -- one who happens to be rich, famous, talented and 17. She wants to spread her wings a little bit.
Why won't we let her?

There are plenty of Disney stars around Destiny hope age. Selena Demi Aly Aj Brenda Ashley. None of this starlet dress sexy when they are performing .she does all this stuff so people will talk about her. She cant act nor sing she have to do something to keep her name in the media.
I wouldn’t want my kid to make money by trying to be a sex symbol at age 17. I hope for a lot better for her. Her parents aren’t really doing right by her - look how happy Brittany Spears is. And yes, I think if you make a ton of money playing a sweet girl for tweens to look up to, you shouldn’t turn around and teach them that you have to be a Bratz doll to get ahead. The solution is simple though - don’t let your kids watch Hannah Montana.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any control of what creeps and idiots take pictures of. But, we have control over what we put out for others to see. She’s 17 years old, and knows right from wrong, and if she doesn’t, that’s what her mother should be there for. I have no sympathy for her whatsever. She has plenty of examples to learn from, and if she doesn’t respect her body enough to keep her crotch out of the spotlight, that’s no ones fault but her own. There are plenty of actresses that are highly respected that don’t go that route! Google pictures of mileys younger sister, that will give you an idea of what kind of example these girls are growing up with. Where are their parents? Btw, I’m only in my 20’s, and I consider myself very open minded. But she’s underage and should be acting like it. There’s plenty of time to put on big girl shoes…
I see shades of David Cassidy in what Miley is doing. Like he did, she is basically turning her back on what made her popular. It might work out, but she would have been better off to try to do something more in line with her image, like counry. BTW, the Hilary slam was uncalled for. Miley has a long way to go to come up with a jam as good as, “Wake Up.”
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? its not right for a 17 year old girl to dress like this it makes me sick, im not that much younger then her and i dont even dress the way she dose. and why did you slam Hilary Duff she is amazing and a better rolemodel then Miley Cyrus will ever be, the resen Hilary’s songs have not been played on the radio is because she is focesing on her acting atm, Hilary did broke out of her Lizzie Mcguire Image but she did it without going off the railes. when you think Hilary Duff knowone thinks of her as a Disney actress anymore.
Hey all you Miley haters you need to step back and stop for a second. First of all if Miley had never done Hannah Montanna and just suddenly came out to produce a record not one of you idiots would be saying a damn thing! The only reason you are flipping out is because she played Hannah Montanna. She has outgrown the Hannah Montanna phase so leave her alone. Just because she has some outfits that you may not like tough. Do you like everything Michelle Obama wears? We live in America people and we have the right to wear what we want to wear. My daughter is 14 years old and she grew up watching Hannah Montanna, but if you ask her if she wants to dress like Miley does in her concerts she will look at you like you are completly insane. She will tell you that is a stage costume not something someone would wear on a daily basis. And just for the record my daughter would not be allowed to wear half the stuff that Hannah Montanna wore on her show. So get over it people. She is growing up and she is living in a free country where she is free to do what the heck she wants.
Will you marry me! Do you have a friend? I’m a guy and I won’t marry a Miley hater! Being a Miley fan is a quick way to gauge people’s overall goodwill towards others. It saves time.
While I’m not a Miley fan, mostly stemming from her overall attitude and behaviour, I will say that at 17 she has the right to do what she wants… yes she has plenty of underage fans who loved her as Hannah Montana but it is then up to those girls parents to decide if they should be allowed to listen to Miley anymore.
Also does no one remember that Vanessa Anne Hudgens had her little naked picture scandal when she was only 18? She rarely gets flack for that anymore but Miley gets screeched about for wearing a leotard. It’s called a double-standard, either we expect one thing of all our underage performers or we don’t
Thank you!!! I’ve been wanting to yell that at people for ages. I think she is a good role model because yeah she does make her mistakes and she learns from them. I don’t think a good role model is someone who is perfect all the time, it’s not possible. I agree, Disney is behind her now. HELLO!! she ain’t gonna be a Disney kid her whole life people, come on! In my opinon, Since she was a disney star, alot of people expect her to be a goody two shoes disney star her whole life, and thats just stupid. The reason why nobody thinks as Hilary Duff anymore as a disney actress is because nobody really thinks of her period that much anymore, well at least as a singer. Hilary Duff only had like one cd and then her singing career went splat! HELLO! Miley is still singing! I love her, I think she is great singer and a great actress, so leave her alone, and wtc! who said she was trying to be a sex symbol, I don’t see that at all, that never crossed my mind! I also agree with 20something. Vanessa Hudgens nude pic came out when she was only 18 and she rarely gets slammed by it anymore, and here were talking about how Miley Cyrus is too sexy? Come on people, LEAVE HER ALONE!!!!

How is it that just anybody can write a blog and get as popular as this? Its not like youve said anything incredibly impressive —more like youve painted a pretty picture over an issue that you know nothing about! I dont want to sound mean, here.
