If ever there was a reason to contact the Better Business Bureau, it's this. Compare the actual size of this "My First Insta-Set Pool" to the picture on the box. A more accurate name? "My First Disappointment."

Oh my lord! what a difference! It’s funny, but I do feel sorry for the poor girl who was waiting for a great pool to play in!!!

On the other hand, I wish I could find a kiddie pool that small. My son prefers sitting outside of it and playing with his boats and spoons and stuff and I never can find a tiny one. Maybe because the boxes all make them look huge! :)

you must have missed the * that says “not to scale”

sorry! haha

Aw, I feel bad for the little girl.

Andrea9179 June 3, 2010, 7:57 PM

ummmm…. don’t ya think it will stretch when there’s water in it?

avery June 3, 2010, 8:12 PM

ROFL… yeah andrea, its going to stretch and magically grow 3 times the stars and shells pattern

skurry June 3, 2010, 8:17 PM

“Enlarged to show texture.” perhaps? lol

andrea's conscience June 3, 2010, 9:17 PM

Wow, we really should have thought that one over before we typed that. Why would a pool stretch when you add water? Wouldn’t the water just flow over the edge? Is it a pool made out of sponge? I think maybe I am just stupid. I should probably think before I type something stupid next time.

No diving!

Avery honey, get off the computer and come finish your dinner. Stop giving the young lady a hard time just because you failed remedial math. You will get it next year baby.

Wow that would really make me mad.

It’s funnier when you imagine an enormous 4 year old displacing a family of tiny people from their swimming pool.

Fine print….Pool not shown actual size

Big G June 5, 2010, 6:45 AM

It’s not the same pool, look at the pattern. There are obviously a few different sizes, and the one the lil girl is in is smaller than the larger model, which is what is on the photo of the box it comes in. The box also looks ‘shopped into a pic of some grass/shrubs, the blurry top edge & left top corner raises suspicions.

Big C June 5, 2010, 8:43 AM

Just about all advertising is photoshopped. Unfortunately I have seen that pool at a local discount store and purchased a similar one for kicks. They are definitely smaller than the picture and the one I bought had several leaks.

I’d fill it with pig poop and ship it to the factory.

Kembial June 7, 2010, 3:59 PM

All manner of pools, inflatable toys, bounce houses, ball pits, pop-out tents/houses/tunnels… Just, sooooo many toys have their box pictures photoshopped and mis-scaled to look much bigger than they actually are.

I work at a toy store, and seeing them on a nearly daily basis makes it pretty obvious.

Poor little girl was hoping for a pool, all she got was a large salad bowl.
