Essence.com recently introduced us to Marie-Fatima Hyacinthe, a 17-year-old student from East Flatbush, Brooklyn, who was (and still is) in shock after finding out that she was accepted into Harvard, Yale, Brown and the University of Pennsylvania.

she probably got in because of her race
she probably could have gotten into all of the top private schools she applied to…hooray affirmative action!
Very efficiently written story. It will be helpful to anybody who usess it, as well as myself. Keep doing what you are doing - looking forward to more posts.
While I am happy for her accomplishment, this is more common than you think. My nephew applied to 5 schools, got accepted to all: 3 Ivies, MIT, and Stanford.
