Kids Getting Virtually High on Digital Drugs

Just when you thought you knew the names of all the drugs your kid might experimenting with, along comes iDosing.
What is it? iDosing is basically donning headphones and listening to droning noises that allegedly have an almost hallucinatory effect on the listener, temporarily altering brainwaves. Judging by the videos of teens filming themselves getting "high," it's a popular pastime.
The MP3 files and CDs are available for download via Internet sites like I-Doser.com, which sells a CD package that it claims will "synchronize your brainwaves to the same state as the recreational dose" of marijuana, cocaine, opium and peyote.
As Wired reporter Ryan Singel wrote, "Kids around the country are getting high on the Internet, thanks to MP3s that induce a state of ecstasy. And it could be a gateway drug leading teens to real-world narcotics."
Cause for concern ... or harmless teenage fun?
Here's the full news report:
I think it’s hilarious that people are considering this to be an actual threat. Listening to some sounds on your ipod is nothing at all like taking drugs.
This is a total scam, and anyone buying into this should be ashamed.
The “music” is two out-of-tune notes oscillating. The “videos” of kids freaking out are posted by the iDoser people, to sell more downloads - Ya think?
The Wired story - and the YouTube commenters - know this is all b.s.
I think sniffing rubber cement is more effective.

I will give it a try just to see what this is all about. But I am sure this is not going to create any drug like effect, it just makes no sense, it can cause a relaxing state, not a high state
