there’s a difference between someone whho is physically beaten and brutalized and someone who is ‘cyberbullied’. she gave these people the ammo to do this by posting these videos, posting the pornographic pictures of herself, and posting all those comments/death threats. also, she stated that she didn’t care what kind of attention she got, so long as she got attention. cyberbullying is different from real life bullying. you can turn off the computer and walk away. you can delete the comments on myspace. you can make your account private. her parents failed her by not watching her/what she was posting. but their daughter was adding people who were obviously going to harass her. names such as ‘I P Freely’ and ‘Pedobear’ were added. that’s how they found out her address and phone number. they had her name, what school she goes to, and her parents name. with that information it could have been looked up in the phone book. i don’t even think she was hacked. a bunch of people sending her ups boxes and pizzas isn’t that bad compared to the girl who had the same personal information on her myspace and was followed home from school and raped.
in short: if don’t post your personal information on the internet, you won’t get harassed.
Excuse me, anonymous, but did you just compare cyberbullying to RAPE?
People like you disgust me. Children who are prostituted- RAPED- are not there for you to use in horrifically offensive analogies. There is no comparison between this girl and children who are sexually exploited, and she has in NO way suffered more than those children.
You should be ashamed of yourself for that post. And I hope to God you and yours never have to actually deal with that kind of exploitation.

The average age of entry into prostitution in the United States is 13 years old, who are victimized and recruited by pimps. Strangely enough, those young victims haven’t been subjected to this same type of brutalization as this young girl, who was unfortunate enough to annoy some ruthless thugs on the website known as /b/.
This child is obviously in desperate need of some intensive counseling and guidance. Instead, she is being cyberbullied and subjected to public humiliation, while the criminals who hacked her computer, illegally posted her personal private information all over the internet, harrassed her family and spread pornographic pictures of this 11 year old child all over the internet, are being praised and glorified! Hailed if they’re a modern day “Billy the Kid.”
What I find even more shocking is the lynchmob mentality adopted by not only children and teens, but by full grown adults. who have been entertaining themselves by making sadistic youtube videos mocking this child, and instigating others to “string her up and hang her”.
Am I the only one who sees something very wrong with this picture? Maybe we should just put her in the public square and get some rocks. Better yet, how about building a great big arena with some lions and watch them rip her apart?
Let’s stop fooling ourselves by imagining we live in a civilized society. This is the same old lynchmob, just a different format.
