Much of the appeal of Twitter is that it's raw, unfiltered and immediate. But if you tweet before you think, it can get you canned.
The Age newspaper in Australia sacked longtime columnist Catherine Deveny after she tweeted at a red-carpet event that she hoped tween star Bindi Irwin "gets laid." Deveny claimed she was kidding -- but her firing was no joke. (FYI, Bindi is the daughter of late "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin.)
