Holy twist on "Boys Don't Cry"!
After the poor teen (who initially had no clue that Dye was a woman) fled the hotel the two had been living in for a few days, Dye was charged with corruption of a minor and unlawful sex with a minor. "They were boyfriend-girlfriend," Sgt. Bob Marchiny told the News. "[Dye] looks just like a boy."
Melissa Neumann, the guardian who'd been assigned to keep an eyeball on the victim while the teen's mom was having gallbladder surgery, was also duped. "It's very, very disturbing," she said. "[Dye] had me fooled. I thought I was dealing with a 14-year-old boy."
Police suspect that the 4'11" Dye -- posing as one "Matt Abrams" -- may have pulled this brand of bait-and-switch on other victims. Her bond was set at $100,000 and a temporary restraining order was issued, barring her from contacting the alleged victim.
YIKES! Sexual assault of any kind is traumatic enough, but how can a victim even begin to recover from being duped in this way?!
