Rod Stewart, 65, is expecting a second child with his wife, model/photographer Penny Lancaster, 39. They are the parents of 4-year-old Alastair Wallace.
This will be Stewart's seventh child.
Is 65 too old to be bringing a child into the world? Not everyone thinks so. Celine Dion's husband is 68, and they're currently expecting twins.
Yet Kelly Preston faced controversy when she announced her pregnancy earlier this year at age 47. (Husband John Travolta is 56.)

It’s totally different for an older man and an older woman to be having babies.
Yes, it’s too old. There’s a good chance he’ll die before the child is 18. Kids need dads, too, it’s no different from older moms having kids.
There’s nothing we can do, though. At least when celebrities do this, the kids will have lots of money.
Well, realistically it’s not like he or his wife are actually going to raise them. They’ll get nannies to do that. I wouldn’t worry too much about his children.
Age isn’t an issue with rich They have nannys to help and We could all die young or old regardless. It’s sad to think that they would probably not have Dads in their teens when they need them the most!
People take note of the following “N.O.Y.N.L.B” which means “None of your nasty little business” whether he is too old or not to have kids”. Its his and his wife’s choice.
