Nanny McPhee is back ... and better than ever!
Families who loved Emma Thompson in the 2005 original will be pleased with the sequel, which is just as much fun.
Nanny McPhee's hairy moles, unibrow and protuding front tooth disappear one by one as the kids master Nanny McPhee's life lessons (such as sharing and working together).
The sequel provides Nanny McPhee with an unruly group of children to tame: three farm kids and their big-city cousins, all of whom hate each other with a passion. Their dads are off fighting in WWII, and Isabel Green, a single mother (played by Maggie Gyllenhaal), is left to fend for them by herself. Throw in a conniving brother-in-law who wants Green to sell off the family farm so he can settle a gambling debt, and you've got quite an adventure.
There are some heavy themes in the movie, but my 6-year-old and 9-year-old both loved it!
