She should be able to wear what she wants to wear. She is adorable and even if she weren’t she is her own person and should be treated as such. As long as her action cause no harm to another what is the problem?

First I want to say that Shiloh can be who she wants. There is nothing wrong with that. Second, I want to praise Angelina for encouraging her child to be what she wants to be. But, third I want to say that the author of this article clearly does not know what “androgynous” means. You are saying that the child is living an androgynous lifestyle, yet at the same time saying she dresses like a boy. If she is dressing like a boy, then she is cross-dressing, not dressing androgynously. Androgyny means dressing or acting like no particular gender.

Jolie set up this child for this “gender confusion” when she was a baby. Jolie dressed her in a blue shirt with skullcaps for the first People cover photo. No 3 year old (last year) asks to wear ties when no man in her family wears ties. People, take the blinders off. Jolie is exploiting these children and specifically Shiloh to attract attention.
I don’t think it matters what she wears. My 11 year old niece won’t wear anything out of the girls section. She plays all sports and has gotten in fights with my sister about wanting to wear boxers as underwear. I just think there should be some limitations. Shiloh can wear the trunks………..just put on a rash guard or swim top. My niece still has to wear girl underwear. She is still biologically a girl……….so is Shiloh.
Really Diane? What is your theory on why Angelina put her in dresses until she was about 3.I have personally seen pics of her in about 25 dresses from age 1-3. Goto justjared.com archives to see her in dresses last time she was in a dress was Spring 2009 in LI while AJ was filming Salt. BTW her hair was long too. I would love to her your explanation of why at the age of 3 they decided to turn her into a boy.
It is obvious that Angelina is exploiting her child for attention. Like any other girl, Shiloh would probably emulate her mother, if her mom would leave her alone. Angelina has a history of doing weird things to get media attention (such as wearing vials of blood around her neck, etc.). Using her child in this way is just her way of seeking attention for being ‘different’.
Finally, gender IS defined by what’s between the legs and NOT between the ears. If I think I am lamp, am I really a lamp?
At least wear a top of some sort with the swimming trunks. She is a girl and a girl shouldn’t be in public (I’m assuming this was in public??) half naked.
