And remember, she can always say no. Other contestants, Kate Gosselin, Marie Osmond worn costume that were more conservative.
I don’t agree with the comment that Bristol was the only one sexualized as I believe almost all the contestants are each season. The play on her mother with the outfit being conservative and then ripped off was of course, a play on her mother’s popularity. That is the only reason Bristol is on the show, which is unfortunate for her. I thought it was really quite sad that she said she didn’t want to embarrass her mother. She obviously has a hard time living up to her mother’s expectations. I am NOT a Palin fan by any means and believe that none of the things that Bristol is doing is serving her very well. It’s fine for her to give speeches but with the money she’s making for them, the whole reasoning for giving them, “Beware of getting pregnant while unmarried, it’s a difficult life”, becomes a bit hypocritical, to say the least. She has made quite a bit of money due to her circumstances and being pregnant is the ONLY reason she has made the money, along with being her mother’s daughter. If Sarah was a decent mother, she would see to it that her daughter was educated further so she could support herself later in life when her star fades, as it most certainly will. I don’t think Bristol is aware of that at this point in life.
What do I think? I think you should lighten up.
Isn’t it fun to bash the Palins? Just when you think you’ve read all the “I hate the Palins” articles, here comes an “I hate the Palins, BUT….” LOL. Give it a rest. Bristol’s trying to make money while having a good time. Nothing more…..

I don’t think Bristol Palin should even be on dancing with the stars. She can’t dance, she’s wearing awful outfits and doing raunchy dancing, and I have to look at her hypocritical parents in the audience. I booed when Sarah Palin was made guest commentator. I’ve barely watched the show this season because I can’t stand looking at any of the “Give me money, and I’ll say and do anything” Palin family. She should be in college trying to support herself and her baby.
Unfortunately, Dancing with the Stars appears to be a popularity contest rather than a dancing competition. This is not fair to those who are working hard to improve their dancing skills and want to win the mirror ball trophy. Expect to see Jennifer or Brandy booted off tonight. Sarah Palin has been praising Bristol and explaining that she is shy and has never had dancing experience and isn’t a star—so vote for her to make sure that she wins the top prize. So far this high school dropout has earned almost one million dollars this year—$215,000 thus far from Dancing with the Stars and then $30,000 again next week, and then it jumps to $50,000 for weeks 9 and 10. $200,000 for the year for being on her Mom’s P.R. team isn’t too shabby and $100,000 each time she does a photo shoot for the tabloids. Bristol is leading the good life—riding on Mama Grizzly’s coat tails and showing all teenagers what a rough life you have if you become a teenage unwed mother. As Sarah would say, she got knocked up and has a corrupt bastard child.
I agree with Betty. Bristol Palin shoulden’t have been on the show in the first place and it appears that her Mothers’ fans are keeping her on each week while good dancers are being eliminated. It is really a shame. I would think the other dancers might begin to resent this. After the “monkey suit” dance I couldn’t believe she was still there. I have lost the little interest I once had in this show.
What I think is that Bristol Palin was invited to sign-on to Dancing with the Stars for the younger viewership her participation would bring to the show. And, that she knew beforehand that the experience would be emotionally painful and embarrassing. But, she reportedly got $125k for signing, and another bucket-full of money for each week she stays on the show. What a LUCKY young lady to have been given this opportunity. She doesn’t want to be a “performer.” But, she also realizes it takes money to support herself and her child, and this windfall will allow her to have more choices in life than many of us had when we were her age. With as much money as she’s earned with DWTS, she can choose to stay home with her son until he begins school.
Wow. Really. Some very negative and jealous people out there. If I were in Palin’s shoes I would do the same thing and I would tell my daughter to do the same. What do you think is better: Put Trip in daycare all day, make minimun wage and go to college for the next 15 years part-time. Single parenting is rough for the parent and the child and she is going to be better off and so is her child! Hello!!!!
I am happy for Bristol that she got the chance to take care of her baby without her parents financial help. Everyday I see young women struggling due to the dad who gets away with having fun and not paying. This includes one of my daughters, only we wound up paying and going into debt! People are judgemental, I lost all respect for the judges on Dancing. They let their beliefs get in the way of being right. The male dancer who would not be nice, I have a total dislike. Hats off to Corey who was awesome with everyone! Hope he makes it big time now. As for Levi, the courts should make him pay. I feel sorry for the child growing up and hearing what a dead beat, totally dishonest sad shaped person he is. The child has only his mom to be proud of. Dad has a bad record already. He is selfish and what I don’t understand is the people who grab him just to hurt others. Is this how they get their kicks? Oh well, as Bristol showed us, Life goes on. Good for her!

What? Bristol the ONLY one overtly sexualized? So NOT true!!! Florence Henderson’s outfit was skimpier, showed a ton of cleavage, her skirt was skimpier and slit rather high. and Adrina was scantily clad too and shimmied away. People should give Bristol a break. She’s obviously shy, don’t know why she decided to do DWTS and I hope she doesn’t crumble under all the negative vibes being hurled her way. No one deserves that!
