News Anchor Barbie

What do you think of Barbie's outfit? Sexist, degrading ... or no real biggie?

What’s the big deal? Barbie always wears pink. I’m sure there are real anchor women who wear pink too and no gets up in arms. It would be sexist if they made her a ‘weather girl’ because they didn’t think a girl could be a news anchor person. Get over it.

It’s sexist to say that just because she is wearing pink it is a sexist doll. Shouldn’t any sex be able to wear any color?

I agree with Renae! Men wear pink too- what kind of ridiculous attitude is it to say that dressing a woman in pink is sexist? That’s a part of the Barbie “personality”. She likes pink! Ever seen the box a Barbie comes in? Chill out people.

Dude, have you SEEN Barbie’s car? How about Barbie’s dreamhouse? Heck, didn’t she even have a pink horse at some point? It’s Barbie. She’s pink. Deal with it.

Oh please, it’s Barbie. There is certainly nothing sexist about her wearing pink. I too agree with Renae it is more sexist to assume that just because she is in pink it is suddenly some sort of sexist statement. God forbid a woman wear pink now! And yep, her box is pink, her website is pink and the Barbie logo is pink. Has been for a heck of a long time.

If you don’t like it, don’t buy it.
Simple.
Nothing sends a message to the ‘decision makers’ faster than revenue figures.

People who are anti-pink are probably the most sexist of them all. Wanting to deny a child a certain color in an effort to deny them their gender. Seriously sometimes feminism gets out of control.

…it is Barbie! What other color would she be wearing?

Uh… isn’t Barbie sexist in general. A doll not meeting any normal persons’ measurements with an emphasis in certain areas and feet that only fit in high heels. I think pink is the least of Barbie’s problems!

sometimes people just likes to get up in arms for no reason what so ever other than they don’t have anything better to do with their time. like everyone else said: it is Barbie, it is her signature color what is there to be “up in arms” for? senseless
