Kim Clijsters Makes Her Own Baby Food!

sign up for the momlogic newsletter Tweet This
We all know the benefits of homemade, organic baby food for our tots, but not many of us would go to the trouble of making it from scratch while on a trip. Or would we?
Kim Clijsters
Well, Belgian tennis pro Kim Clijsters did just that while on the road for a match. You might remember her for being the first mom to win the U.S. Open in 29 years. The photo of Kim posing with the trophy and her then-18-month-old daughter, Jada, was an iconic image for mothers around the world.

Kim recently told CNN that she travels with her Baby Cook baby-food maker from Williams-Sonoma, and that after a brief trip to a local Whole Foods (or its equivalent), she's off and cooking for her daughter.

"We ask the hotel to put in a little fridge or empty out the mini-bar to put all the food in there, and we try to make most of her food ourselves," she told the news outlet. Now that's dedication!

Moms, what lengths would you go to, to make sure that your child had nutritious meals while on a trip?

This weblog seems to get a great deal of visitors. How do you advertise it? It offers a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something useful or substantial to give info on is the most important thing.
