Son Arrested after Father's Body Found in Storage Unit

ktla: Police have arrested a man on suspicion of killing his father, after his father's body was found in a storage unit in Irwindale.
Irwindale police responded A1 Mini Storage in the 4300 block of Irwindale Avenue around 4 p.m. Friday.
That's where Jonathan Pedraza, 24, had rammed the gate with his vehicle, trying to force his way out. Pedraza couldn't leave because he didn't have a security code to open the gate, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Mark Pope.
The staff at the facility refused to open the gate for him.
Witnesses wrote down the car's license plate number.
The officers investigating the damaged gate received a call from Baldwin Park police.
They had detained Pedraza after he was in a traffic accident in Baldwin Park.
He was hospitalized under guard with some undisclosed injuries, according to the sheriff's department.
Police in Irwindale connected the vehicle to a particular storage unit. Inside that unit, they found the body of Miguel Leyson Pedraza, 62
Pedraza suffered blunt-force trauma to the head, authorities said.
A homicide investigation is now underway.
