This is one of the most naive articles I’ve read in a long time. Please research and inquire vegetarians before you write for the “masses” and give bad advice and wrong information. Vegetables do contain vitamin b12 (seaweed comes to mind)although it is not a massive amount. Beans, soy beans, nuts and tofu contain B12 again not a massive amount. If you are an ovo-lacto vegetarin, dairy products such as milk and cheese contain B12 but it is still being questioned whether or not B12 is being absorbed properly… even by meat eaters. There are a lot of factors involved in absorption - amount of intrinsic factor, age, previous gastro surgeries, etc. Vitamin supplements for B12, B12 shots and B12 fortified foods is the answer. Short, sweet and simple. It’s a shame the author finds it necessary to turn vegetarianism into something bad when it isn’t. You can eat well as a vegetarian and get everything you need if not more than your meat eating counterparts.
