A Fraternity Chant about ... Rape?!

Dr. Wendy Walsh: The pledge ritual of a major fraternity at Yale University recently raised the ire of campus women's groups, but it raises even more questions about gender inequality in the sexual arena.
You started off great then dived with both feet into how women are to blame. When will women stop blaming women for rape? First of all if a woman doesn’t feel comfortable having anal sex with a man she isn’t going to marry so be it. If she does so be it. That has nothing to do with a chant designed to normalize date rape. Stick to the topic or stop writing blogs. Women are not to blame for being coerced or forced into sex with unwanted partners.
MEN need to be held to higher standards. The dizzying every changing social expectations for women is enough already.
Can we ever see something like this and not say “it seems to” or “it appears to be”. Give me a break. They are not mincing words here honey. Rape is rape. No means no not yes. Changing your mind is good fortune on the guys part. Using force to have sex does not equal a change of heart. stop blaming women.
Bravo KS! Well stated.
NO is an entire sentence!

Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not sure about the former.
This weblog appears to get a great deal of visitors. How do you promote it? It offers a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to say is the most important factor.

“what girl wants to promote her desire for anal sex (or whatever non-vanilla activity she prefers) on a date that might lead to a marriage partner?”
One who wants to be married to a man who can please her sexually? It doesn’t have to be the first date, but I think that where marriage is concerned sexual compatability is extremely important.
