The superintendent of schools, Joan Landers, said that's not how she wants the student population to be represented.

I’m sure there are a lot of people that don’t even know what it means especially with Wakefield Track & Field underneath. Although, I bet the kids were laughing! My daughter, age 10, wore a baseball cap her grandfather gave her for a few months before I realized it had WTF on the side. I know gramps didn’t know what it was - it was just a hunting cap he’d been given. I had to explain what it meant to my husband, too!
