Host a Makeup and Blowout Party!

Lara Shriftman of PartyConfidential.com: If you don't have the money to spend on expensive, designer salons, not to worry! Inexpensive makeup and blowout boutiques have become the newest trend, allowing you to get a quick makeover and blowout without having to shell out the big bucks!
Since I am always on the run and can't afford to spend hours sitting in a salon, I have recently started going to Makeup & GO! and BUBBLE Blow Dry in Brentwood for a quick and affordable beauty makeover. With one simple stop, you can have your beauty fix in less than an hour's time! And since Makeup & GO! and BUBBLE Blow Dry are right next door to each other, they provide the perfect venue for a fun party with your closest family and friends, whether it be a birthday party, a baby shower or just a makeover party!
Guest List
If you're paying for the party all by yourself, I recommend inviting anywhere from 5 to 10 people, so it doesn't get too expensive. If you're planning a larger party, call the venue ahead of time to see if you can get a group rate, so it's not prohibitively expensive.
Activities
Check out the wide variety of services offered at Makeup & GO! and BUBBLE Blow Dry, and customize your agenda. Have each of your guests select one makeup and one hair treatment ahead of time.
CHIC TIP: Include your animals in the beauty-day fun by having someone from the Tender Loving Care pet salon come and groom your guests' animals at the same time! My miniature Shih Tzu, Lulu Flynn, loves a good grooming by TLC!
Menu
Since your guests won't have a lot of time to eat while they are busy getting pampered, provide them with bite-size treats to nibble on instead. Here are a few of my favorite miniature goodies:
- Mini grilled-cheese sandwiches
- Mini sliders
- Mini Arrowhead water bottles
- Mini bags of Popchips
- Mini CRUMBS cupcakes
- Harry & David Moose Munch gourmet popcorn
- Serendipity frozen hot chocolate
Create custom gift bags full of beauty-day essentials as a fun souvenir from your party! Here are the beauty items I included in my gift bag this summer:
- Essie nail polish
- RevitaLash mascara
- Calypso perfume
- Sue Devitt mini lip gloss
- Kiehl's Imperial Moisturizing Cuticle Treatment
