UsaToday: Chrysler has come up an interesting idea in vehicle theft protection. If your Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep is moved while you're not in it, you'll get a text message telling you. It also lets you keep tabs on your teen's driving. If the car goes faster than whatever speed you set, you can get a text message telling you.
"Mopar's new tracking system provides vehicle owners the peace of mind that comes with always knowing where their vehicle is located," said said Pietro Gorlier, CEO of Chrysler's Mopar parts unit. "And if someone else is driving their vehicle too
fast or too far, the system can be enabled to send them a text."
The system is set up so you can select how far your car is allowed to go before you receive the text message. And you can set the maximum speed before a text message is triggered. So if you set 80 miles an hour and anyone driving your car exceeds it, you get the message.
