"Until I was about 14 [I stuttered] quite badly," says Blunt. "The thing that helped me was acting. There are so many actors I know who stutter. However, they never do [it] on stage. And I never stutter when I'm acting. I would encourage parents to put their kids in drama classes even if they're super shy and embarrassed. You often find that you don't stutter when you're acting. Psychologically, [acting] really helps you get over a stutter."
Acting Cured Jason Segal's Extreme Shyness
"I was the only Jewish kid at an all-Christian school," says Segal. "And I was also 6'4" since I was 12. The kids didn't really like me that much. I was very shy. Very, very, very shy. My parents sent me to the local community theater to take acting class, just to help get me out of my shell. They didn't send me [there] to become an actor; they figured I would make some friends. So I went there and I really got into it. And I really liked having friends."

@ Mike I know what your mean. In todays economy its hard to find a company to work for that pays well and is consistent. I have found that if you just work hard and are consistent you can succeed. Look at the writer of this article, they are oviously hard working and have just been consistent over time and are now enjoying at least what would appear as somewhat of a success. I would encourage everyone to just keep hustling and moving forward.
