I Waited Years to Have First Child, says Tumour Mum, and I've Spent £30k on Her

DailyMail: Her wardrobe of cashmere and silk, satin and lace would make a grown woman drool. And at only four months old, Nicole Davis is something of an expert at that.


Not that her doting mother minds. If one of her daughter's beautiful designer baby outfits gets a little messy, there is always another one to take its place.

So far, in her short life, Nicole's mother has lavished her precious little girl with £30,000 of presents, toys and clothes.

And after recovering from a benign brain tumour that threatened to destroy her dream of a family, Lisa Davis is unapologetic when she admits to spoiling her baby.

The spree began during her pregnancy when she and husband David paid £6,000 for a designer nursery to be installed in their modest £150,000 three-bedroom semi.

Then they paid another £5,000 for a nursery at their holiday home in Florida.

After Nicole was born, the spending grew with her. There was a £6,000 ­christening (along with a three-course meal for 60 guests), a £2,200 crib, ­complete with hand-carved ­cherubs, and £2,000 of hand-made bedding.
